Claims Adjuster

Electric Insurance Company is looking to hire Claims Adjusters to work in entry-level positions in Beverly, Massachusetts.

As a Claims Adjuster, you will work alongside a dedicated team of Auto Damage or Property Fast Track Claims Adjusters to provide service to our policyholders, claimants, and GE Appliance Consumers.

For this position, we ask that candidates have a college degree and superb customer service skills, as the majority of the time will be spent dealing with customers. You must be process oriented, and ready to adjust to a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you main duties will be to deal with our policyholders, claimants, and GE Appliance Consumers, and provide them with our services. This includes taking responsibility for creating all new claims for the business and adhering to state guidelines for claims handling. Positions in two areas are open: Auto Damage and Property Fast Track claims adjusters. Both jobs involve solving customers’ inquiries about the status of their claims, resolving small losses, determining coverage, assigning appraisals, processing payments, and confirming liabilities. You will review and analyze claims, as well as negotiate settlements.

As this position heavily involves customer-employee interaction, excellent customer service is absolutely necessary. You must be friendly, helpful, and attentive. Negotiation skills are also crucial, as well as a college degree. The training class for this job as Claims Adjuster is 10 weeks long, from 8 AM-5 PM Monday through Friday. Although the environment is not stressful, it does move at a rapid pace. For this reason, you must be able to handle a high volume of claims quickly and efficiently.

Associates may choose from two levels of dental coverage with varying limits. You and your eligible dependents become eligible immediately upon your date of employment. Contributions are made on a before-tax basis.

The GE Vision Care benefit is offered to full-time and regular part-time associates scheduled and working 20 or more hours per week. The vision plan covers one eye exam every other calendar year, as well as a portion of your eyeglasses and/or contact lenses. You and your eligible dependents become eligible immediately upon your date of employment. Contributions are made on a before-tax basis.

You can set aside up to $5,000 for eligible health care expenses and up to $5,000 for eligible dependent care (child or elder care) expenses. Your contributions are made on a before-tax basis, and your reimbursements from these accounts are generally tax-free.
