Director of Patient Safety

MedImmune is hiring directors of patient safety to work in the Gaithersburg, MD area.

In this role, you will collaborate with members of several departments to aid in the evaluation and reporting of clinical trial and post-marketing of adverse drug reactions.

We ask that candidates have a least 3 years of post-graduate experience in government, industry, academia, or private practice, as well as great interpersonal skills.

Working as a Director of Patient Safety

In this role, you will perform a number of duties relating to aspects of our patients’ safety. For example, you will be in charge of collaborating with several other departments in order to further enhance our scientific advancements. These departments include: Patient Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Sales and Marketing, and Clinical Development. You will also collaborate with Quality Assurance on the investigation of consumer complaints, to determine the effects of these complaints on patient safety. Along with department heads, you will also communicate with MedImmune marketing partners and affiliates to facilitate the submission of P-S-U-R’s to non-US regulatory authorities. You will review and evaluate safety data for emerging product safety signals.

We ask that applicants have at least 3 years post-graduate experience in government, industry, academia, or private practice. At least one year of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is required, as is a medical doctor degree. Candidates for this job must be board certified or at least eligible for certification. As working as a director of patient safety requires constant communication with coworkers, department heads, and customers, great communication and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
