Surgical Assistant Aurora Healthcare is searching for Surgical Assistants to work full time in our new location in Grafton, Wisconsin. In this role, you will perform a multitude of preparatory, scrubbing, and related services necessary to provide patient service throughout the surgical procedure. We ask that candidates have at least 3 years of related experience, the proper certifications licensed through the state of Wisconsin, and a great work ethic. Since you will be working with a team, it is necessary that you have great communications skills and work well with others.
Working as a Surgical Assistant With a job here at Aurora Healthcare, you will become a part of our family. You will be stationed in our newest healthcare location in Grafton, WI, that just opened on November 1st, 2010. As a surgical assistant, you will perform preparatory, scrubbing, and other related services throughout the surgical procedures. You will work with a team to assist with basic surgical cases in all areas- including cardiac, and work to provide the surgeon with whatever help he or she may need. We ask that candidates have at least 3 years experience as a practicing surgical technologist in major operative specialties, or 3 years experience as a surgical assistant. You will need to be somewhat flexible in your schedule, as you will be on-call one night per week and must be able to switch weekend shifts with other surgical team members. We ask that you have a 30-minute on call response time. Since surgeries are always crucial operations, it is imperative that you communicate well and get along with the surgical team.
