Transaction Tax Senior Manager
Ernst & Young is hiring transaction tax senior managers to work in Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto, Canada.
As a transaction tax senior manager, your main duties will include managing projects and teams, establishing relationships, and taking advantage of opportunities for tax approaches that arise.
We want candidates who have great managerial skills, enjoy working with people, and have experience with Canadian taxes.
Working as a Transaction Tax Senior Manager
Transaction tax senior managers work within the Transaction Advisory Services practice. As a transaction tax senior manager at Ernst & Young, your duties will include managing due diligence projects and determining potential tax liabilities and exposures in both strategic and private equity transactions. You will also be responsible for managing engagement teams. These teams, who you will work closely with, typically consist of attorneys, CFO’s, corporate directors, accountants, and tax professionals. As a manager, it will be your job to interact proactively with all of these groups, and guide them to work in the most efficient manner possible. You will also review and analyze merger agreements.
Since the position of transaction tax senior manager is one of high standing, we ask that candidates have at least 7 years of Canadian tax experience and a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent. Professional designation is a plus, as is M & A tax experience. Great presentation, communication, and leadership skills are a must.
