Actuarial Assistant
Allstate Insurance is hiring actuarial assistants to work at our headquarters near Northbrook, IL.
As part of Allstate’s team as an actuarial assistant, your main role will be to conduct reviews of property rates, and analyze the profits and loss results. You will then use these results to perform a variety of tasks that will benefit the company and ultimately and allow us to function more wisely and efficiently.

Working as an Actuarial Assistant
As an actuarial assistant, your role will involve assessing personal auto and property rates, and analyzing profits and loss results, including those for current and past trends, project underwriting losses, and underwriting losses. You will also be responsible for reviewing rate competitiveness and using this analysis and others to create new ideas and thoughts about the company, in order to help it function more effectively. The rate proposals fall into your category as well, and you will have to prepare packing rate proposals, clarifying all rate proposals, producing internal and external communications to support rules and rate changes. You will then prepare the information for implementing an approved rate package.
Actuarial jobs combine intelligence and interpersonal skills. For this job, excellent analytical and communications skills are a must. We prefer two years of actuarial experience, including some analytical experience. You must be organized and prompt, as well as friendly, motivated, intelligent, and eager to work.
