Accounting Manager- Derivatives
Allstate Insurance is hiring Accounting Manager- Derivatives to work at our headquarters in Northbrook, IL.
As an Accounting Manager- Derivatives, you will report derivatives results to all levels of management, including senior investment leaders, the Controllers group, and other executives. Your job will also include reviewing and implementing accounting standards, and examining various reports, as well as other important roles.
We are searching for individuals with a thorough knowledge and passion for accounting. You must have excellent analytical skills, and the ability to present information effectively.
Working as an accounting manager- derivatives
Accounting manager-derivatives typically works with others in an office setting. As a accounting manager, your roles include heading up the team for GAAP, statutory and tax accounting, reporting and analysis information, and needs and deliverables. It will be your job to report the derivatives to various executives and leaders. You will also lead accounting operations, and manage the preparation, review, and examination of various reports.
Since the accounting manager is an important position that involves contact with many people, it is necessary for someone in this role to have excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively. A Masters degree, MBA, CPA, or CFA is preferred, as well as 3-5 years direct experience with derivative accounting.
