Accounting Consultant
Allstate Insurance is looking for an accounting consultant to work at our headquarters near Northbrook, IL.
As an accounting consultant with Allstate, you will report and analyze specific investment instruments, which focus on Statutory and Tax reports. You will mainly work with a team of co-workers to review and analyze documents, and write tax reports.
Here at Allstate, we are looking for someone with great analytical skills who knows how to work as a team player, and will be dedicated to performing their job to the best of their abilities. Excellent communications skills are needed, as well as a general knowledge of accounting.
Working as an Accounting Consultant
An accounting consultant typically works with a team, as a part of the Operations department within the Investments Division. This rapidly growing department focuses mainly on Statutory and Tax reports, so as an accountant you will work on these reports, as well as the analysis of related investment instruments. You will prepare quarterly and annual tax reports, review and analyze various documents for internal and external customers, as assist the Statutory/Tax Team with certain schedule reviews.
Accounting Consultants must have a general knowledge of accounting and at least 4 years of accounting or reporting experience. As a consultant, you must be a problem solver with great organizational skills. You must be a detail oriented hard worker, and a self-motivator. It is important that you can multi-task and have to ability to work towards multiple deadlines simultaneously.
