Originally established to meet the needs of General Electric employees, we have since expanded our offerings to the general public. We are a full service direct writer licensed in all fifty states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. Electric Insurance continues to serve as GE's primary insurer for many of its global insurance program. GE remains Electric Insurance Company's sole commercial lines customer continuing a long-standing relationship started by Electric Insurance's founding Company in 1927. Electric Insurance's personal lines business commenced in 1966.
